11 day Tour Itinerary
An overview of your trip
DAY 1 Fly to Luang Prabang
Take a scheduled flight from the UK to Luang Prabang.
Transport: Airplane
DAY 2 Arrive Luang Prabang
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.
DAY 3 Luang Prabang City Tour
Visit the Traditional Art and Ethnology Centre, see the magnificent Wat Xiengthong, and continue to the Royal Palace Museum, and the famous Big Brother Mouse bookshop. Climb the 328 steps up Phousi Hill for a sunset view, and end the day at the vibrant Night Market.

DAY 4 Pak Ou Caves
An early start to witness the monks collecting Alms. Cruise the Mekong River, stopping at Xiengmene Village, and continue to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. Visit the villages of Ban Xanghai, Ban Xangkhong and Ban Xienglek on your way back to Luang Prabang.

DAY 5 Khuang Si Waterfall
Waterfalls, cool off with a refreshing swim in the pool or walk along the forest trails. The journey back stops at the Kuang Si Falls Butterfly Park and Ban Na Ouane and Ban Thapene villages.

DAY 6 Luang Prabang to Xieng Khouang
Travel to Xieng Khuang, which is famous for the mysterious Plain of Jars. The journey takes a day, with some stops along the way to witness the life of local tribes like the Hmong people.

- Transport: Drive
DAY 7 Plain of Jars
Journey through Phonsavan to the Plain of Jars, a huge archaeological site with 2,000 year old stone jars, scattered across it. The day includes visits to various sites and local villages, where traditional customs continue. In the afternoon, enjoy a trip to the giant Buddha at Muang Khoun.

DAY 8 Xieng Khouang to Vang Vieng
Explore nearby villages, populated by a Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people. A scenic drive takes you to Vang Vieng, a small town nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River.

DAY 9 Vang Vieng to Vientiane
Stroll around the town visiting the local market and Organic Farm Vangvieng. After the Tham Jang Cave, drive to Vientiane, stopping en-route at Vang Xang.

DAY 10 Vientiane City Tour
Discover Wat Sisaket, Wat Phra Keo and the outside of the Presidential Palace. Continue to the Patuxay Monument, and That Luang, the holiest site in Laos.

DAY 11 Fly to UK
Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
