Mirissa is the largest fishing port on the south coast and is known for its tuna, mullet, snapper and butterfish, and is one of the island’s main whale and dolphin watching locations. There are plenty of other things to do here, the beach stretches far along the coast and is the perfect place to soak up sun for a day or two. A number of restaurants and bars back onto the beach, so there are plenty of places to watch sunset and enjoy a drink or two come nightfall. For such a small place, there’s everything travellers could possibly want and need.

On arrival in Mirissa, make your way to the 4★ Lantern Boutique Hotel, and check in for a 5 night stay.
DAY 2 Mirissa
A day at leisure to relax after your journey. Perhaps make use of the hotel facilities and fabulous outdoor pool.

Another day at leisure, why not book on to a whale watching excursion, to see if you can spot some dolphins or whales.

DAY 4 Mirissa
Today you could explore the local area, relax on the beach, or maybe if the conditions are good, try your hand at some surfing.

Use your final full day for some last minute exploring or souvenir shopping.
