An overview of your trip
DAY 1 UK to Colombo
Catch your scheduled flight from the UK to Colombo, Sri Lanka.

DAY 2 Arrive Ahungalla
Once you land at the airport in Colombo, and clear customs, you will be greeted by our representative who will show you to your private transfer. On arrival at the Heritance Ahungalla, check in and start relaxing.
DAY 3 Ahungalla
On your first full day in Ahungalla, why not make use of some of the hotels facilities, relax by the pool, have an energising game of tennis, or enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach.

DAY 4 Ahungalla
Following a leisurely breakfast, perhaps stroll into the village and explore the local shops, or maybe visit the nearby mask museum, with it’s collection of brightly coloured, hand-crafted masks

DAY 5 Ahungalla
You could start the day with a room-service breakfast, while you decide what to do. Maybe catch a train from the local station and enjoy a scenic rail journey through the surrounding countryside. Or you could book yourself onto a cookery lesson in a fragrant spice garden, to perfect a tasty Sri Lankan speciality.

DAY 6 Ahungalla
After breakfast, why not make your way to a local turtle sanctuary and marvel at the wonderful work done by the staff and volunteers. They not only ensure that hatchlings make it to the sea, but care for sick and injured turtles, until they are well enough to return to the wild.

DAY 7 Ahungalla
Another day to relax on the beach, or by the pool, and perhaps enjoy some water sports.

DAY 8 Ahungalla
Breakfast at the hotel could be followed by a day trip to discover the delights of nearby Galle. You may prefer to visit the local Kande Viharaya Buddhist Temple, treat your self to a river safari through the atmospheric mangroves.

DAY 9 Fly to the UK
Enjoy breakfast with a view, before checking out of the hotel, and taking your private transfer to the airport, for your return flight to the UK.
