Located in North Gyeongsang Province, Daegu City is the fifth largest in South Korea, it is rich in culture and history and offers beautiful mountain scenery and intriguing temples dotted on the hillsides. Daegu is known as the city of Oriental Medicine and is home to one of the largest oriental medicine markets in South Korea. The Daegu National Museum is well worth a visit and is home to exhibits of Buddhist relics and ancient pottery.
