8 day Tour Itinerary
An overview of your trip
DAY 1 Borneo
Witness the spectacular orangutan feeding and hear about conservation initiatives. The Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre is a must-see. After lunch, take a picturesque boat ride down the Kinabatangan River to Sukau Rainforest Lodge. Enjoy a wildlife-spotting river cruise, followed by a candlelight supper and informative presentations.
DAY 2 Kelenap Ox-Bow Lake
Begin your day with a river excursion to Kelenap Ox-Bow Lake, which is teaming with birds and fauna. A naturalist guide will take you on a tour of the Hornbill Boardwalk. Set off on another spectacular river trip in the afternoon.
DAY 3 Menaggol River
Begin the day with a tranquil electric motor-powered river boat on the Menanggol River to view animals. After lunch, visit Gomantong Cave to see the amazing evacuation of over two million bats and raptors.
DAY 4 Sandakan
Return to Sandakan in preparation for a trip to Kota
Kinabalu. Explore the Rainforest Discovery Centre with its canopy walk, swinging bridge, and botanical garden. pay a visit to Sandakan Memorial Park.
DAY 5 Kota Kinabalu
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Kota Kinabalu. On arrival in Kota Kinabalu, you’ll be met and transferred to the dock to catch a 25-minute shared speedboat to the tropical Gaya Island.
DAY 6 Gaya Island
Day at leisure.
DAY 7 Gaya Island
Day at leisure.
DAY 8 Transfer to Airport
