DAY 1 Arrive Takayama
On arrival in Takayama, make your way to your accommodation and check in. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax after your journey, or explore the local area.
DAY 2 Takayama
Day at leisure to explore this delightful city. Perhaps visit Takayama-Jinya, a former government headquarters from the Edo period, Matsuri no Mori, a unique museum filled with highly decorated festival floats. Maybe explore the charming, traditional houses in Kamisannomachi Street, part of the old town.

DAY 3 Takayama to Shirakawago
Take a bus to enchanting Shirakawago. Afternoon at leisure to discover the famous gasshou-zukuri farmhouses, which are more than 250 years old.

DAY 4 Shirakawago to Kanazawa
Catch a bus to Kanazawa, and make your way to the hotel to check in. The rest of the day is at leisure.

DAY 5 Kanazawa
Day at leisure to uncover Kanazawa. Perhaps visit the renowned Kenrokuen Garden, marvel at the exhibits in the museum and experience the old Samurai houses.
