17 day Tour Itinerary
An overview of your trip
DAY 1 UK to Tokyo
Take your scheduled flight from the UK to Tokyo.
- Transport: Airplane
DAY 2 Arrive Tokyo
Upon arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred by shuttle bus to your accommodation. The rest of the day is at leisure.
DAY 3 Tokyo Full Day Tour
Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Meet with the guide in the reception area. Enjoy the Tokyo Full Day tour. This tour will take you to some must-see spots in Tokyo by public transportation. Visit Asakusa, the Imperial Palace, Shibuya Crossing, and more.

DAY 4 Hakone Full Day Tour
Meet with our guide and enjoy Hakone tour by train and local transportation using Hakone Free Pass. Take the limited express train to Hakone Area. Enjoy a short cruise on Lake Ashi and continue to the Owakudani Ropeway and Hakone Ropeway. Go back to Tokyo in the evening.

DAY 5 Bullet Train to HIroshima
After breakfast at the hotel, meet the guide in the reception area. We will take the bullet train to Hiroshima, which is 4 hours journey time. We arrive into Hiroshima in the afternoon. Enjoy sightseeing in Hiroshima city. Visit Genbaku Museum, The Atomic Bomb Dome designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996 and Peace Memorial Park.

DAY 6 Miyajima and Bullet Train to Kyoto
After breakfast at the hotel, meet with our representative in the reception area. Take the ferry to Miyajima Island. Visit Itsukushima shrine and Big Torii Gate. Try some street food in Miyajima, for example oyster croquette etc. Back to Hiroshima and we take the bullet train to Kyoto. Upon arrival, check in the hotel.

DAY 7 Kyoto Full Day Tour
Meet the representative at the hotel’s reception and enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto. Take the local train to Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, home to thousands of torii gates and the Buddhist Sanjusangendo Temple, filled with 1001 statues of Kannon, the Goddess of mercy. Enjoy the tea ceremony at Kyoto.
You will visit Kinkakuji, the Golden Temple. The tour ends at Gion area, should you prefer to continue your sightseeing by yourself.

DAY 8 Nara and Osaka Full Day Tour
This morning starts with a walking tour of Nara. We take the train to Nara, the imperial capital of Japan in the 8th century, and visit the Todaiji Temple where an enormous bronze Buddha image is exhibited in the Daibutsuden Hall. We then continue to Nara Park, where over 1,200 wild shika deer roam freely. Visitors can feed with Shika-senbei, a special snack for the deer sold in the park grounds. Travel to Osaka visit Osaka Castle and Back to the hotel.

DAY 9 Fly to Beijing
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Beijing. Upon arrival, our representative will meet and arrange your transfer to your hotel for a three night stay. In the afternoon, there is time to relax, or explore the surrounding area.

DAY 10 Beijing City Tour
Your tour begins after breakfast, with a visit to the Temple of Heaven – where the Ming and Qing emperors worshipped the god of heaven and prayed for good harvests for the year. Here you can witness the tradition of Tai Chi being practiced in the courtyard, which
is followed by a stroll through Tiananmen Square, and continues to the Forbidden City which served as the grand imperial palace for centuries. Your final stop of the day will be at the Hutongs. Here, you will gain a personal insight into the everyday life of traditional Beijing citizens.

DAY 11 Great Wall
Enjoy a good breakfast at the hotel before your visit to the Great Wall at Mutianyu, a part of the wall with breathtaking views in a less crowded atmosphere. Mutianyu was built in the mid-6th century and its rich history can be observed in its unique construction. Go back to the city and grab an opportunity for photographs at the Birds Nest Stadium and Water Cube, venues for the memorable 2008 Olympics and 2015 World Championships. In the evening, enjoy a fabulous Peking Duck Dinner, in the place that gave it its name!

DAY 12 Beijing to Xian
This morning starts with a visit to the Summer Palace, which includes a grand collection of lakes, gardens, palaces
and scenic views. Followed by a relaxing boat ride on the beautiful Kunming Lake, before catching your bullet train to Xian (approx. 5 hours 30 minutes) and checking into your hotel.

DAY 13 Terracotta Warriors
Today your guide will take you to visit the Terracotta Warriors, a stunning collection of 10,000 life size statues of the Chinese army, made over 2,000 years ago, yet preserved almost perfectly. This will be followed, in the afternoon, with a visit to Xian’s ancient city wall, best enjoyed as a peaceful stroll or leisurely bike ride. This evening you will sample a delicious dumpling dinner while enjoying the Tang Dynasty Show, a colourful performance of traditional music and dance.

DAY 14 Xian City Tour and to Shanghai
Following breakfast, visit China’s unique architectural style at the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, before your last stop in Xian in the Muslim Quarter, and your chance to witness local life in the community. Finally, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, check into your hotel for a three night stay.

DAY 15 Shanghai City Tour
The first attraction of the day will be the Yu Yuan Gardens, first constructed in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty by Pan Yunduan. The gardens occupy an area of 5 acres and are home to beautiful pavilions, walkways, rockeries, streams, ponds, courtyards and flowers. A horticulturist’s heaven. Next stop, the Jade Buddha Temple, where you can marvel at impressive temples, both ancient and modern, housing large, intricate sculptures of Buddha. Afterwards you will spend time at the Shanghai Museum, followed by the opportunity to visit the impressive waterfront attraction of the Bund to admire Shanghai as a modern metropolis.

DAY 16 Zhujiajiao Tour
Today will start with a visit to Zhujiajiao, an ancient water town dating back over 1,700 years, known as the Pearl Stream. You can expect to see Ming and Qing Dynasty
bridges, two ancient and historic buildings and the Ma Family Garden before heading back to Shanghai for an afternoon at leisure.

DAY 17 Fly to UK
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to UK.
