20 day Tour Itinerary
An overview of your trip
DAY 1 Fly to Bangkok
Take a scheduled flight from the UK to Bangkok.
- Transport: Airplane
DAY 2 Arrive Bangkok
Upon arrival in Bangkok, You will be met by the guide and transferred to the hotel. Rest of the day is at your leisure.

DAY 3 Bangkok Full Day Tour
Today you will visit the highlights of Bangkok. Start the day with a visit Royal Grand Palace. A complex of royal and religious buildings which has been the official residence of the Kings of Thailand since 1782. Continue by walk to visit Wat Pho, it has existed since the late 17th century, prior to Bangkok becoming the capital of Thailand. Wat Arun is a Buddhist temple which sits on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Whilst you cruise down the canal, pass by old wooden stilted houses, townhouses and some unfortunate dwellings which have tilted 45 degrees to the side! You will pass lush greenery, quaint Buddhist temples and occasional graffiti.

DAY 4 Day Trip to River Kwai
Today, we will transfer one hour southwest of Bangkok to visit the famous Mae Klong Railway Market. As you leave the urban scenery behind, enter the beautiful Thai countryside. Mae Klong where you will visit a market selling fresh fruit, vegetables, spices and other products alongside the train tracks. Next, we will continue to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market by car. En route, visit the Bang Kung Camp, used as an army camp by King Taksin the Great in 1767. We will transfer further into the town to visit the Kwai Yai Bridge. The bridge has become synonymous with the Death Railway and is a railway bridge which made up part of the rail link. Drive back to Bangkok in the evening.

DAY 5 Ayutthaya
You will visit four sites in Ayutthaya. Begin with a visit to Wat Chai Watthanaram, a Buddhist temple which sits on the banks of the Chao Phraya River which was constructed at the beginning of the 17th century. Next, visit Wat Mahathat, another Buddhist temple complex which dates back originally to the 14th century. The temple is known to be one of the oldest temples in Ayutthaya and was said to house the Buddha’s holy relic. Continue to visit Wat Phra Si Sanphet and Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon. Dine in candlelight abroad prestigious yachtlike cruise vessels, exquisite oriental and western cuisine and an exemplary service. All add up to an unforgettable experience.

DAY 6 Fly to Hanoi
After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, you will e met and transferred to the hotel.

DAY 7 Hanoi City Tour
Experience the rich culture of Hanoi. Spend time at the Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda and the Presidential Palace. Visit the Vietnam History Museum and the Hanoi Opera House. Stroll around the Old Quarter and end the day by watching a performance of a traditional Water Puppet Show.

DAY 8 Halong Bay
In the morning, journey through the rich farmlands passing workers in the rice fields. Arrive in Halong City and board the traditional wooden junk boat for your overnight journey to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay, cruising past beautiful rock formations. Visit the Surprise Cave and enjoy swimming or hiking on Titov Island. Optional activities include a cookery class, massage, kayaking and swimming.

DAY 9 Hanoi to Hue
Start the day with Tai Chi on the sundeck before breakfast, then explore the Luon Cave and enjoy a tasty brunch as the boat winds through the limestone rocks. Disembark and take the shuttle bus back to Hanoi, where you will transfer to the airport for your flight to Hue. Upon arrival, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your Hotel.

DAY 10 Hue City Tour
Hue was once Vietnam’s imperial capital and today you can experience its historic significance first hand. Cruise along the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda, visit the Citadel and ornate tombs of former emperors, and experience a local market.

DAY 11 Hue to Hoi An
After breakfast, transfer to Hoian, on the way visit Marble Mountain, then take a three-hour drive will take you through stunning rural and coastal landscapes, including the dramatic Hai Van Pass. Upon arrival, check in hotel.

DAY 12 Hoi An
Day at leisure to discover the ancient town of Hoi An. Your options include a cooking class or cycle ride to the local beach.

DAY 13 Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City
This morning is free until transfer you to Danang Airport. Take schedule flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 14 Ho Chi Minh City Tour and Cu Chi Tunnels
This morning, explore the network of underground tunnels at Cu Chi, on the city’s outskirts. Experience the very best of Ho Chi Minh on a half day city tour. Soak up the history of Dong Khoi Street on a walking tour and visit the Reunification Palace which was originally built by the French in 1868 and the poign-ant War Remnants Museum.

DAY 15 Mekong Delta
This morning travel from Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta. Upon arrival in Ben Tre, you will enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River to explore the highlights of the Delta. Enjoy a stop at a brickwork factory to see how bricks are made in the traditional method. Afterwards, visit a coconut processing workshop located alongside the river then stop and take a short walk to a family workshop run by women making sleep mats. Here you may enjoy some local fruits and tea and chat with local people to learn more about their rural life on the delta. Afterwards take a motor cart ride past rice fields and vegetable plains. In the afternoon, take rowing boat along water palm creek. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 16 Fly to Phnom Penh
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Phnom Peah. Upon arrival, the guide will meet you and take you to the hotel to check in.

DAY 17 Phnom Penh City Tour
Starting at the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda where 5,000 silver tiles cover the floor, continue to the National Museum built in traditional Khmer style. In the afternoon, tour Tuol Sleng Prison and the Killing Fields – a reminder of the Khmer Rouge regime giving an insight into how the country has developed.

DAY 18 Fly to Siem Reap
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, the guide will meet you and take you to the hotel to check in. This afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on the Tonle Sap Lake at KAMPONG PHLUCK VILLAGE. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh.

DAY 19 Angkor Tour
Visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire. Enter the impressive South Gate flanked by stone elephants and giants. In the afternoon visit the famous Angkor Wat – the largest and best preserved temple at the site, and marvel at the spectacular sunset.

DAY 20 Back to UK
Transfer to the airport and fly back home.
