Visa-Free Travel to China
Experience China, its dramatic landscapes and delicious food without the need for a visa!
There are certain places in China that you can visit for up to 144 hours (6 days), without a visa, as long as you are in transit to another destination. For instance, you could fly to Beijing for 5 or 6 days, then on to Hong Kong for a few days, from where you can catch the train to Shanghai, before flying back to the UK.
Some of the more popular cities that operate this system include Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu, which means that you can see the Great Wall, the Giant Panda’s, or explore Shanghai Disneyland visa-free.
All you need to take advantage of this opportunity is
- A passport valid for at least three months from the date of entry into China
- A ticket to another destination with a confirmed seat and date
- A fully completed Arrival / Departure card
